Evidently this insight is not that new. More so the campaign of the brazilian advertising agency Publicis caught my eye, who have realized this topic very creatively

Blogging as cause of death

The business publication “brandeins” dedicates its current issue to blogging on a double-page spread. In december a prominent blogger - Marc Orchant - died of a heart attack. The reason is named to be stress caused by overwork. Another not less prominent fellow blogger, Om Malik, experienced a heart attack as well, surviving it. In their story “brandeins” deals with the question, if blogging (- meaning fulltime blogging -) creates an increased health risk. The pressure from readers demanding new information, the wish to present announcements as first and the neccessity of refunding through advertisement by means of high traffic, surround the blogger with constantly growing stress situations. At the end of the article a few more interesting numbers are published, which briefly sketch the blogging market. Therefore there are approx. 2600 blogs, which offer more than 1000 references, 400,000 blogs with more than 20 references and approx. 100 million blogs with less than 20 references. This may sound frustrating to many, although the motivation of the individual blogger should always be seen as well. We for example operate Talkingblog to show customers that we look outside the box and are contact persons for various challenges in advertising and internet.

155 Dollar iphone in Germany

T-Mobile Germany has cut the price of the 8 Giga Byte iPhone to 99 Euro. This is equal to 155 Dollar for a new iPhone.

There is a slight catch, as customers need to commit to a “Complete XL” contract priced at 99 Euro or 139 Euro  monthly. The package includes 1,000 minutes, 300 SMS messages, an unlimited data package and access to T-Mobile’s WiFi hotspots.

There has been much speculation that retailers are attempting to reduce inventory of existing stock to prepare for the release of a new iPhone that supports 3G.

Advertising should be surprising

That too, is what a barbershop in India thought. On an escalator a young man changes his haircolor with every incoming stair. I first had to look closely to understand the principel. You see the changing hairdos on his head when you remain at the bottom of the escalator.
